Steve Morton is a consultant FAA Level A Software DER with extensive expertise in the development and use of aerospace software tools. Steve was a member of SC-205, which developed DO-178C, DO-278A, and their technology supplements. Steve substituted as acting co-chair of subgroup 3, which was responsible for the Software Tool Qualification Considerations supplement to DO-178C, and was an Editorial Subcommittee Member for DO-248C. In addition to his consultancy at TBV Associates, Steve was formerly a Software DER at Hawker Beechcraft Corporation where he had responsibilities across the spectrum of HBC’s Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft line up. Steve has provided training on tool qualification at multiple FAA National Software and Airborne Electronic Hardware Conferences.
Dr. C.G. Krishnadas Nair
Padma Shree awardee Dr.C.G.Krishnadas Nair, an eminent techno craft in the field of aerospace with national and international reputation is the founder of SIATI. He has made significant contributions in aerospace engineering, R&D, education, industry and management. He transformed Hindustan Aeronautics Limited into a globally competent aerospace industry with emphasis on research, design and development, collaborating with National Laboratories, Academia, Indian private industries and international aerospace organizations. He served as the Vice Chancellor of MATS University and Chairman governing council of a number of engineering colleges and visiting professor including INAE – AICTE distinguished visiting professor of IIT Chennai. He is the Chancellor of Jain University and Chairman governing council of National Institute of Technology, Calicut. He established International Institute of Aerospace Engineering and Management (IIAEM) first of its kind in India as a collaborative venture between Jain University, SIATI, and leading Aerospace and aviation organizations. He is the Chairman of its Governing Council. He has made significant R&D contributions by indigenous development of high quality aerospace alloys, composites materials and advanced process technologies and non destructive testing and evaluation. He led the design and development of Advanced Light helicopters, jet trainer and fighter aircraft. He was actively associated with ISRO in developing advanced materials, structures and process tech for satellite and Launch vehicles and with DRDO for structures and engines for Prithvi and Agni Missiles. He has published over 200 technical / research papers and authored 21 books. He served as President of Aeronautical Society of India and President, Indian Institute of Metals. He served as member Board of several Public, Private and Joint venture companies and research and academic councils of R&D labs and academic institutions. He is founder President of Society of Indian Aerospace and Industries (SIATI) and founder Chairman of Society of Defence Technologies (SODET) and contributed to the growth of private sector participation in aerospace and Defense.
He has won many National and International Awards. Padma Shree, Scope Award for best Chief Executive, Birla Gold Medal, Indira Priyadarshini Award, National Aeronautical Prize, Vasvik Research Award, Omprakash Bhasin Award, Dr Ambedkar Bharat Shree Award, National Metallurgist Award, Life Time Achievement Award from Indian National Academy of Engineering(INAE) etc. are but few of them.

Commodore SS Vombatkere joined the Electrical Branch of the Indian Navy in 1987 after graduating in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras. A post graduate in Computer Science from IIT Bombay he has been actively associated with various academic and technology initiatives of the Indian Navy for over 25 years in the areas of Software Development, Information Security, Embedded Systems, and Reliability and Maintainability.
In his 28-year naval career, he has served on board various warships, in naval dockyards, naval training schools and at Naval Headquarters. He is a hands-on engineer and spent his early years in the Navy developing software for the Navy, for which he was awarded the Naosena (Navy) Medal by the President of India in 1998. Subsequently, during his 6-year assignment at the Weapons & Electronic Systems Engineering Establishment, Delhi (WESEE) at Delhi, as Systems Manager & later Head of the Information Security Group, he was one of the pioneers in the development information security solutions for the Navy. This was followed by a 3-year appointment as Director of the Software Engineering Group at Mumbai, the Indian Navy’s nodal agency for Embedded Systems support. He is presently the Director of the Naval Technical Group at Bangalore that is responsible for reliability and maintainability studies and life cycle support of indigenously developed electrical, communication, electronic warfare, and weapon & sensor networks and systems.

She has worked on multiple HW platforms, IDEs/tools, simulations, etc. She worked as Aerospace Datalink Engineer, Development/Verification Engineer, Project lead and extensively worked on CNSATM programs.I n her current role as Aerospace Certification Engineer, she performs RTCADO-178B/C Software certification activities (equivalent to DER) for Aerospace Flight Management Systems and Communication/Navigation Systems. She also trains and guides teams on SW certification aspects. Geeta holds a Bachelors in (E&C) from Karnataka University. Senior Staff Applications Engineer
Ed is a Senior Staff Applications Engineer and the Anti-Tamper lead for Xilinx. Ed is a key member of the Xilinx Security of Excellence (COE) and his main responsibilities include the generation of new security requirements for next generation All Programmable products, IP security development and support, direct customer engagements in support of security architecture design, creation of supporting collateral, etc. Ed has over 20 years of engineering experience – he has worked at Xilinx for more than 8 years and prior to that he worked in a number of market segments as a design engineer primarily in Aerospace & Defense applications with a concentration in secure communications. Ed holds 6 US patents and has 2 patents pending, all related to FPGA and SoC security. Ed is a graduate of the University Of Connecticut School Of Engineering with a major in Electrical Engineering.

Dr. Yogananda Jeppu started his career in 1987, working on Missiles and Indian LCA programme with Defense R&D Organization. He has been working in the field of Control System Design and Implementation, Simulation of Aerospace Systems, Verification and Validation for aircrafts and missiles for the past 29 years. He has several publications on Randomized Testing, Orthogonal Array Testing and Missile Guidance and Control. He has a US patent for “Software License Independent Image Generation”. He is a recipient of many awards notable are the Commendation Certificate for “Significant Contributions made to the Integrated Guided Missiles Programme”, and the “National Aerospace Laboratories Technology Shield for Outstanding Achievement in LCA Control Law Design, Certification and Successful Flight Tests”. Dr. Yogananda Jeppu holds BE in Electronics and Communication, from Mangalore University, a Post Graduate in Missile Guidance and Controls from Pune University. He has a PhD in Reliability from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. His doctoral thesis is on Certification of Safety Critical Control Systems using Model Based Techniques.

Jim McElroy is the VP of Marketing at LDRA Technology, Inc. where he is responsible for expanding LDRA business in the embedded software verification market. Before joining LDRA, McElroy held VP and Director level Marketing and Business Development positions with Green Hills Software, Telelogic North America, and I-Logix, Inc. Prior to these roles, McElroy developed critical embedded software at Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. Overall, McElroy has been engaged in the critical embedded software industry for over 22 years. He has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Fitchburg State College and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts.

Pierre Vincent started his job at Esterel Technologies as R&D Engineer, in the year 2000. In 2005, he became the Technical Consultant in charge of supporting customers in the development and verification of their software application with Esterel SCADE products. During this period, he provided methodological & certification support including the development of Certification Plans & process guidelines for several companies in various domains (Aerospace: DO-718B, Rail: EN 50128, Nuclear: IEC 61508/IEC 60880). Between 2009 and 2011, he was the Project Manager for the development of an Aircraft Navigation Application (DO-178B level A) for a French company. He currently holds the position of Scientific Officer (H) & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at BARC. His fields of expertise are - Cyber Security, Networking, Telecommunication and Grid / Cloud computing. His notable achievement is the ‘Development of Secure Network Access system (SNAS), an indigenous integrated Intranet security system’. Camille Vuillaume is a security and cryptography expert with more than 10 years of professional experience in this field. He has publications in top-tier academic conferences and journals, and has given several invited talks in conferences and workshops. Dr. Vuillaume joined ETAS K.K. in 2013, where he represents ESCRYPT, an ETAS daughter company, and leads the automotive security team for Japan. His area of responsibility includes Japan, Korea, China and India. He is currently working for LDRA, where he is a Field Application Engineer working in close collaboration with LDRA’s numerous distributors. Prior to joining LDRA, Mark was the lead application engineer for IBM Rational Rhapsody and has over 12 years of experience using UML on embedded projects.

Sean Whitty received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science & Engineering in 2005 from the University of California, Davis, USA. He then worked as a research engineer at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany, where he was a member of Professor Rolf Ernst’s embedded systems research group at the Institute of Computer and Network Engineering.
Sean is currently Senior Consultant at Symtavision GmbH. Based in Munich, he is responsible for automotive customers and projects based in southern Germany and the USA. His primary area of expertise is embedded systems design and optimisation for timing-aware network architectures.

Rajendra Prasad Behera
Rajendra Prasad Behera is working as Scientific Officer ‘F’ in Real Time Systems Division, Electronics & Instrumentation Group of Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam. He is involved in the design, development and analysis of I&C system for Safety Related and Non-Nuclear Safety applications of 500MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) being commissioned at Kalpakkam. He has designed field deployable Remote Terminal Units for Liquid Sodium Leak Detection and Surface Temperature measurement of sodium pipelines for PFBR. He has also developed Switch Over Logic System for Hot-Standby System Architecture. At present, he is actively involved in the design & development of Safe & Secure PLC system and Foundation Fieldbus based Instrumentation for future reactors. He is a Senior Member of “International Society of Automation” and life member of “Indian Nuclear Society”, “Society for Reliability and Safety” & “Society of EMC Engineers (India)”.
Sri is currently working as Standards Senior Manager for the past 1.5 years associated with the IEEE India office with specific focus on standardisation activities in India across technology sectors with focus on Smart Grid, Telecom, Cloud Computing, e-Health, Robotics and Standards in Education. In his current role Sri has been driving the efforts in enabling participation and contributing to standards development activities through the various programs & initiatives.
Prior to joining IEEE, Sri was associated with Freescale Semiconductor Inc. (formerly Motorola Inc.) for 17+ years. As part of Freescale, Sri also has worked extensively in emerging methodologies for system level electro-magnetic compliance for Freescale products and developing enabling software tools and technologies for physical design, modelling and analysis.
Sri won the "Accellera Technical Excellence Award" in 2009 for his contributions to the Analog Mixed Signal language development standardization efforts and leadership of this technical committee as the chairperson. Global Operations Director-Aerospace, HCLShaju George is currently the Global Operations Director at HCL Technologies Ltd and heading the Product Testing Services for all their Aerospace and Defense customers. He is with HCL for last 13 years and played different roles in delivery and operations in the Aerospace vertical. He and his teams have executed hundreds of safety critical aerospace software development and V&V programs for several of their US and European customers. He has played an important role in setting up large offshore development centres for Aerospace customers in HCL.
Prior to joining HCL, he was with HAL for 12 years, involved in Instrumentation, Ground testing of Aircraft systems and structures. 2 years with BAeHAL Software Ltd as Project Manager for Avionics Software design, development and verification.
Dr. Heeralal GargamaLead Engineer Reliability
Dr. Heeralal Gargama is presently working at “BE Analytic Solutions” as a Lead Engineer Reliability and dealing with various projects of Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Commercial and Railway domains for RAMS analysis and implementation. He has been awarded M. Tech. and PhD in Reliability Engineering from Reliability Engineering Centre IIT Kharagpur. His PhD thesis is in trans-disciplinary area of “Reliability-Based Design and Evaluation of Electromagnetic Shielding and Absorbing Structures”, where he has integrated knowledge and perspective from reliability engineering into design and development of EMI shielding and absorbing structures. During the course of doctoral studies, he has published several papers in international journals and refereed international conferences of repute. In last one and half year he has trained many engineers/scientist from industries and government organizations on various aspects of Reliability Engineering in short term courses.

Starting his career as a Project Engineer in Industry as well as State Government Organisation assisting Industry by providing techno-commercial consultancy services, Mr Pandya moved on to promote his own Unit for manufacturing components for Medical Devices and then expanded into providing technical and management services for Medical Devices and Medical Plastics Disposables industries servicing Medical Device Industry for about 35 years in various capacities.
Supriya has 9 years of industry experience in software development, verification in embedded real time systems in Aerospace domain. She has worked on FPGA simulation, ASIC Synthesis and testing. She has extensive work experience in Model Based Verification in Flight Control SystemsIn her current role as Certification Engineer, she performs RTCADO-178B/C Software certification activities (equivalent to DER) for Cockpit Display Systems apart from guiding the aero engineers on certification aspects.
